Your Gmail account may contain very sensitive information, and signing out will help protect it. You can also sign out of the Gmail app on a mobile device, but this process is a bit more complicated.
1. Open the Settings app on your device
2. Find the section for "Accounts".
3. Remove the account
Note- Removing an account from your phone or tablet will not delete the account itself, so you will still be able to use it on computers or other devices.
