Requirements for working with Android Device Manager



Android Device Manager should be activated as a Device Administrator to check, navigate through Settings-> Security-> Device Administrator and verify that the ADM is listed as a Device Administrator.


How to Use Android Device Manager?



If you have lost your Android device, then you can track it through Android Device Manager. You can also set up a new lock password, make a phone ring, or erase it completely if it went for good. Most of the new Android devices have this service enabled by default, but you may need to set it up on the old device manually.

Steps to use the Android Device Manager web to locate or wipe your phone:-

Step 1:- Open Android Device Manager to track and manage your device.



 You can access Android Device Manager in two different ways:
  • Visit Google.com/android/devicemanager and log in with the same Google Account as your unavailable Android device sign in.
  • Android Device Manager App - Download Android Device Manager from the Google Play Store on Android device. If you are using an app on another's Android device, you can log in as a guest. Log in with the Google account that your unavailable Android device is sign-in Android Device Manager App is not available on iOS; Use website instead.
Step 2:- select your device. 



If you have several Android devices connected to your account, you will be able to select which one you want to track and manage by clicking on the name of the active device and selecting from the menu.

Step 3:- Find your device on a map.



 If you have enabled location services on the device, you can usually track it on the map. If your device has a GPS signal, then the map should be quite accurate. If only your wireless device is enabled in your device, then it may be more wrong or can not be displayed at all.
  • If the Android Device Manager is unable to find the exact location, then it will display a cycle in which the device should be located somewhere. This can help you track the exact location by withdrawing your steps.
Step 4:- Ring your device.



 if you are trying to locate your device nearby, then you can set it in the ring by clicking on the "ring" button. Your device will ring up to five minutes in full volume or until the device unlocks.

Step 5:- Lock your device with a new password.



 If you are concerned about the device in the wrong device, you can lock it to a new password by clicking on the "lock" button. This password must be entered in order to unlock the device. You can also set a message that will appear on the device's screen.

Step 6:- Erase your device.



 If you fear that your device has been stolen, or you think it's good, you can delete all data and settings by clicking on the "Delete" button. This will reset a factory on the device. If the device is not currently online, it will start the reset next time it connects.
